Life Apostolic Ministries

WELCOME STATEMENT

We welcome you to Life Apostolic Ministries where EVERYONE is SOMEONE in the Lord!

We pray that the Lord will bless you powerfully by ministering to your need and anointing your purpose in life so that you may say..."it is good that I was here today"!

Senior Pastor

Lady Delinda Donald and Pastor Vernon Donald Jr.

The ministry of Elder Vernon Donald Jr. began in September 1986 in Oxnard, California. Under the leadership of his First Pastors, Bill and Olivia Cannon. He moved quickly through the fields of winning souls for Christ, realizing that he could not stay with Christ without a life of prayer, he quickly asked the Lord for that very thing. It was his praying and fasting that gave him the wherewithal to fulfill God's words.

Elder Donald quickly became involved with door-to-door evangelism, street meetings, home bible classes, convalescent home meetings, and a host of others. Then in September 1988, the Lord told him that he was going to make him like Paul; he began to travel through the Navy, extensively around the world, holding bible classes, counseling, preaching, teaching, and baptizing people in the name of Jesus for the remission of their sins and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

He continued to preach the oneness message of Jesus Christ. After his fifth of seven cruises to the other side of the world, Elder Donald knew the Lord was calling him to start a ministry at home. Under the guidance of the late Bishop Charles L Taylor, he waited three more years until he retired out of the Navy in July 2000. Four months later, on November 5, 2000, the church doors of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church (FTAC) were opened. The FTAC name was changed to Life Apostolic Ministries (LAM), in 2017.

Why We Exist

PURPOSE STATEMENT

To Expand the Kingdom of God on Earth as it is in Heaven!

(Matthew 28:19-20)

VISION STATEMENT

That the Saints are powerful Warriors of Jesus Christ defeating evil everywhere they go.

MISSION STATEMENT

To develop the Saints to master the call of Christ in their lives by mastering the art of not failing.

Our Beliefs

  • We Believe in the one baptism as recorded in Acts 2:1-4, 38, 10:44-48 and 19:1-6, which is evidenced by the speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance as the initial evidence thereof.
  • We Believe the New Birth (being born again) includes genuine repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by the speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
  • We Believe in the one God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes, and purposes as well as omniscient and omnipresent.
  • We Believe He revealed to us as Father in creation, as Son in redemption, and as Holy Spirit in His grace that never leaves those who trust Him.
  • We Believe that Jesus was both human and divine and further, that the Godhead be understood to mean all the fullness of God. (Colossians 1:19 & 2:9)

Know God

START YOUR NEW LIFE WITH CHRIST

You can have real, lasting peace today through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Start your four-step journey now!

Step 1: Peace with God

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life—abundant and eternal.

The Bible says:

"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Romans 5:1

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16

"I [Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:10

Why don’t most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

Step 2: The Problem...Sin Separates Us

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and freedom of choice. We choose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says:

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 6:23

Our choice results in separation from God. People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God...

The Bible says:

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."

Proverbs 14:12

"But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear."

Isaiah 59:2

No bridge reaches God... except one.

Step 3: God's Remedy: The Cross

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says:

"For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

1 Timothy 2:5

"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God."

1 Peter 3:18

"But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

God has provided the only way... Each person must make a choice...

Step 4: Our Response: Receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible says:

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with Me."

Revelation 3:20

"But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."

John 1:12

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:9

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?

Here is how you can receive Christ:

  • Admit your need. (I am a sinner.)
  • Be willing to turn from your sins (repent) and ask for God's forgiveness.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
  • Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

"And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart. Praising God, having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."
